25 April – Bloody Hell and Bollocks

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening readers,

Oh jeez louise, what a hilarious couple of days. Just when you are starting to feel exhausted and disconnected, the universe throws a curve ball at you. I’m definitely being looked after by some sort of higher being, not sure if i’m going with God, a spiritual being or just good old fashioned Karma. But whatever it is, it’s got my back.

Amy, myself and one of the volunteers got a taxi to Yerevan Mall. Due to the protests it was closed. CLASSIC. So, we walked back and had a little gander at the shops in town. We walked past the protest in Republic Square and the atmosphere was BUZZING. There were pumpkin seed shells everywhere. Apparently people here like to eat them when they are a bit anxious or have a big deadline. I personally prefer devouring an XXL Papa John’s pizza to myself, accompanied by a side of self-loathing. But each to their own.

On our walk into town we were trading swear words and blasphemous phrases in our respective languages. I know, I know, soooo childish.. yawnnn. We had a laugh though #naughtygyals. Here are the list of words and phrases we relayed:

Bloody Hell,
Flippin ‘Eck
Bollocks
The Dogs Bollocks
Shit
Piss Off
Fuck Off (the classic)

Of course we emphasised that these should not be used in day to day conversation. We also taught her some pet names and terms of endearment. When she said “Awiiiight mate” I could have died and gone to heaven. PUKKA.

In naughty words and kindness,
C x
